Velhametsä started in late 2005 as a small project managed by two friends; one Portuguese and one Finnish. Similar interests in the field of politics, culture and history acted as the seeds for this co-operation, and Weblog Velhametsä serves no greater purpose than simply being an outlet of our thoughts, feelings and opinions. To put it in simple terms, this is our very own corner of the internet, where we discuss anything and everything that we find interesting and worthwhile.
We hope that we can find others, who share our interests and perhaps even enjoy our blog to some extent.

I’m portuguese and I have a little problem in translating a phrase of finnish into english.
The phrase is: “on hyvä saavuttaa matkan päätepiste, mutta oikeastaan tärkeätä onkin matkanteko”…
The last word (matkanteko) I don’t know if it is mat + kanteko or is all right.
It’s posible to give a help in this case?

Matkanteko consists of two words: Matka (journey) and Teko (deed). “Matkanteko” literally means “The deed of travelling”.
The entire phrase translates thusly into English: “It is good to reach the destination of the journey, but actually its travelling itself that is important.”
